Musing 07.28.08

Concerning ethnocultural practices from the ancient to the modern, one must distinguish between what is in fact indigenous cultural community, culinary, ritual, and religio-spiritual practices. These practices should be learned about, studied, taught, and understood first and foremost so that there is no ambiguity regarding the vast differences between cultures. By doing so, one begins to loosen his or her personal bonds (restraints) of ignorance thus increasing one's knowledge, understanding, and tolerance of ethnocultural practices different from one's own.

Musing 07.14.08

"The victory of success is half won when one gains the habit of setting goals and achieving them. Even the most tedious chore will become endurable as you parade through each day convinced that every task, no matter how menial or boring, brings you closer to fulfilling your dreams."
